We developed a simple wayfinding system to work sympathetically with the space which takes its inspiration from the rich trading history of the region. An intricately cut 3D map provides a building layout overview while areas are signed using layered 3D text, digital print and vinyl cut details. In the teaching spaces we used the beautiful 3M Fasara cloud to provide privacy while maintaining natural light and a feeling of openness. Additionally Ross Hemera’s artwork was detail cut and applied to the first floor glass balustrade. An exciting space to study and learn!
